True Blood Season 3 finale party

October 24th, 2010

Are any of my fellow True Blood fans planning a season 3 finale party?

I am, I’ve got my menu ingredients all gathered and inspired from Talbot’s elegant dinner party during the episode of “It Hurts Me Too”

Be sure to visit Vampire-Love-Affair.com on Monday 9/13/10 to see pictures. I would love to hear about your season finale party ideas and see your pictures.

Eric – Trouble

October 24th, 2010

Eric – I am definitely Team Eric, wonder where this will go after Bill said “Sookie is no longer mine”. His haircut all slicked back is driving me nuts however, it reminds me of the doofy role he tried to pull off when he and Sookie were visiting TFOS to rescue Godric.

It is touching for him to stand up for Pam but strange to see him blow Sookie off after pursuing her so long. I guess he felt he could only help Pam or Sookie and not find a middle ground that would let him help them both.

Finally I liked getting to see some of Eric’s Nordic family history, it sets the stage for the butt kicking I am sure he is gonna bring forth to Russell the king of Mississippi!

Trueblood – Trouble

October 24th, 2010

Rating: ★★★☆☆

Well life has kept me very busy lately, thank heavens for my Comcast DVR, its the only way I ever get to watch my favorite shows these days.

Time to get caught up on my True Blood episodes before I get too far behind.

Franklin- I don’t know what it is about his character but he just bugs me, they seem to have made him too pale or maybe the makeup makes his skin look off, anyway I’m just not into him as Franklin. I know we deviate from the books but the Franklin in my head has a lot more style and is more flamboyant rather than crude.

Alcide – Great to look at but I’m a still waiting for the back bone I know his character is supposed to have. I hope they don’t keep him this way for his duration on the show. I can see him and Sookie having a fling, however I don’t think they plan to go that route or do they?

Debbie Pelt – OK, I laughed at the scene where she and Alcide where in the living room yelling at each other, lol. It sounded so acted and not into character. I had a picture in my head of two actors on a stage and she was reading from a script, lol. I’m hoping her character will not be long lived on the show.

Jessica – ^5 Jessica, way to stick it to Arlene the snob. How is it Arlene can have so  many baby daddies but be a snob about vampires?. I’m glad to see that Jessica is standing up for her self and not letting Bill’s absence let her sink into being an animal. As for her and Hoyt, I am not sure I want to see them back together, they were a cute couple however I could see her with Tommy.

Tommy – He rubbed me the wrong way being a brat at first but I am starting to warm up to his character now that he is hanging out with Sam. I think he would be great for Jessica in that they are similar in personality, both seem lost and let down by those they counted on but on the verge of getting a stronger back bone for self.

Joe Lee – He’s got crazy down pat, lol. Well at least we were spared a scene with him in his underwear again, thank goodness. Looking forward to finding out what he means by “I own you!” to Tommy

Terry & Arlene – LOL, Terry is so sweet he cracks me up. I think he is perfect for Arlene and her crazy life. I hope they don’t have them as a quickie romance, no need to make it a deep story, just keep the antics, lol.

Layfayette & Jesus – Their plot is cute and they both were great with the batting the eyes at each other, :o ). For some reason though I just don’t see them as a couple, it just does not click to me.

Russell(AKA the King of Mississippi) – I loved his reaction to Sookie’s fairy powers ( I am sure that is what they are, looks like we are sticking with that from the books). That scene was one of the few moments I was into his character, most of his other scenes are just ahhh. He and Talbot however are a hoot to watch as they bicker.

Jason & Crystal – I almost hope they let Crystal stay on the show, as crazy as Jason is I think he and Crystal make a cute couple if she does not turn out to be the “B” like she is in the books.

Sookie – Her scene with Russell and the scene where she tells Alcide he is taking her with him.  She tells him “It gets easier, you’ll get used to it”, lol. Both of those are more the Sookie we are used to, mouthy and don’t give me your mess.

Bill – I liked that they had him come to Sookie’s rescue and try to get her out of there, was a little of a surprise in that I thought they were going to stick to the traitor plot for him. Will be interesting to see how this all turns out when the KOM is gone.

Tara, Tara, Tara – Trouble

October 24th, 2010

I know we we are still early in the season but the wimpy Tara character was starting to bore me.  Statistics show that African American women are typically strong and very seldom resort to suicide to solve their problems.

The “Trouble” episode has renewed my interest in Tara. It was driving me nuts with her just taking whatever life was sending at her with out putting up a fight. Her scene at the table when she starts duping Franklin into believing she was into him was a hoot. This is more like the Tara I am used to on True Blood.

Welcome back Tara…. now go kick butt
